[2011-4-25 13:10:00/1] - New Stuff!! Case History Super Viewer!
Here we go, folks. Hopefully this is something you've all been awaiting.
Features of this fat chunk of code include:
  • See the Activity History, Case Comments, and Attachments in the main case page.
  • Toggle whether the view includes any of the above three object types.
  • Choose to view information in time-sorted order starting with the newest, or the oldest entry.
  • Use Alt+Shift+P to access your preferences!
...and this time I made a demo for you!
Unable to display content. Adobe Flash is required.
This extension installs the same way as the New History Viewer, so please review those steps here.
[2011-1-24 08:42:00/1] - New History Viewer Updated.
If you DO NOT ALREADY have the New History Viewer installed then please skip down to the original post.
I've updated the New History Viewer with the following changes:
  • Works in the Console screen now.
  • More intuitive sorting descriptions (Show Oldest/Newest First).
  • Rewrote everything that was recursive or a dirty hack to be nice and tight... and non-recursive.
Not that recursion is a bad thing but it could eat memory up quick for a few seconds and if you're already maxed on resources...
A NOTE ABOUT UPDATING IN CHROME:
Updating extensions in Chrome via their automated process has proven finicky and/or not-free. I'm still researching. If you would like to apply this update then you will need to take a few extra steps.
Under Windows 7 and Vista, you will need to do the following:
  • Access C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\pkcplohcomlnogeimjbmfnfahljfindj\1.0_0 in Explorer
  • Replace the script.js with the contents of this zip file (you need to unzip it yourself) and restart Chrome.
You need to do a complete restart of Chrome - not just the current tab - or else the update will not be loaded!
If you have any problems updating, please send screenshots and URLs where you're having problems to chris@geexploitation.com so my work email stays clean!
Thanks for playing!
[2011-1-9 21:57:00/1] - Greasemonkey Userscripts for SFDC/ADSK.
Our build of Sales Force is sort-challenged. I have crafted a client-side solution. I am still working on getting Case Comments into this view; I haven't given up yet.
If you have Firefox then you need have Greasemonkey installed.
Then click the install link below and confirm that you want to install the script:
If you have Google Chrome, you can just click the link for the script and then confirm that you want to install it.:
If installation is successful then you will see a new button added on the "View All" screen under the Case History:
You can click to toggle Ascending/Descending sort. If you wish to change your default from Ascending (oldest first) to Descending (or back), pressing ALT+SHIFT+P will display/hide the preferences pane.
